Role: Finance Associate

Main role responsibilities

Chapter Support

        • Works closely with the Director of Finance to maintain financial accounting system on a monthly basis
        • Works closely with the Director of Finance to reconcile with upstream systems such as Wild Apricot
        • Works with the Director of Finance to analyze past programs and recommend pricing strategies
        • Stays up to date on new tools and how other organizations are using them, so that the chapter uses these technologies effectively

    Board Participation

        • Supports and promotes CARE, and the strategic goals and action plans of the chapter
        • Represents the chapter professionally and ethically in all business functions/organizational activities
        • Participates in chapter events, committee meetings, and regional conferences as available

    Qualifications:

        • Member of chapter required, member of ATD National preferred
        • Commitment to the chapters’ Mission, Vision, Strategy, and Goals
        • Skilled in written and verbal communication, personal interaction and problem-solving
        • Ability to plan, organize and execute activities as required by the position
        • Ability to complete projects within established timeframes
        • Willingness to advocate for the chapter
        • Ability to seek others out as volunteers
        • Ability to solve community disputes and enforce rules
        •  Familiarity with accounting software such as Quickbooks or Xero.
